Truckers are essential to our nation’s economy and the demand for qualified drivers has continued to increase. Earning your commercial driver’s license (CDL) gives you the opportunity to pursue a stable and rewarding career in the trucking industry. Due to the ongoing truck driver shortage, motor carriers compete to offer the best pay and benefits, and you can earn more than $72,000 a year.*
If you’re interested in becoming a trucker, Phoenix Truck Driving School can help you get started. We’ve partnered with Cochise College to offer high-quality truck driver training in Douglas, AZ. We give students the skills they need to succeed and offer job placement assistance to help them get on the road and start earning as soon as possible. In fact, many of our students even have job offers before graduation.

WRITTEN CDL EXAM
During the first portion of your training, you’ll be preparing for the written CDL exam, which tests your knowledge of how to safely operate a semi-truck. You’ll need to pass the general knowledge test, among others, in order to earn your commercial learner’s permit (CLP).
In addition, our program includes three endorsements: hazardous materials (hazmat), tanker, and doubles/triples. These can expand the opportunities that are available to you over the course of your trucking career.

HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE
Once you’ve passed the written CDL test and have your CLP, you’ll transition into hands-on training. This portion of the program prepares you for the CDL skills test and includes supervised driving time in a real semi-truck, not a simulator. Additionally, you’ll learn how to perform a pre-trip inspection.
